First Parade – Pre-Checks by the Car Owner

Standard checks and visual check to be done when a motorist enters his car for the first time in the morning before setting off.

This is very important to every road user to ensure safety for yourself and your family as well as others.

1. When nearing your car do a check on all tyres, light covers and lenses.
2. Check that all lights are working and that all reflectors are intact.
3. Do a visual check under the front of your vehicle for any oil or water leaks whilst your car has been standing.
4. Check front and rear windows for damage and cleanliness.
5. Make sure driver side window is working.
6. Check left & right side and interior review mirrors.
7. Check hooter.
8. Make sure both front seat restraints are working correctly.
9. Check that both front doors open correctly.
10. Check that glove box is securely closed.

One may think the above checks are not necessary, but when you do find you self in an emergency situation or perhaps an accident you will see that these checks performed may contribute towards saving a life of a loved one or even your own.
